This expansive focus allows the journal to encompass the plurality of English studies in Europe, a reflection of its&nbsp;affiliation with the European Society for the Study of English (ESSE).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The journal is looking for a book review editor.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tasks&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 Evaluating the content and suitability of books that are proposed for review within the\u00a0 journal; <br>\u25b6 Commissioning and editing 6-9 book reviews per year; <br>\u25b6 Participating in editorial meetings\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Requirements&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25b6 A PhD in the field of English studies; <br>\u25b6 An excellent research track record marked by an interest of English studies in its\u00a0 variety, sustained by relevant publications and close integration in the international\u00a0 scholarly community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Recruitment process&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please send a brief CV (up to 4 pages) and a cover letter (1 page), explaining prior&nbsp; experience, reasons for applying and perspective on the book reviews section, to the&nbsp; EJES General Editors, Isabel Carrera Su\u00e1rez, Katerina Kitsi-Mitakou and Frederik Van&nbsp; Dam at:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"mailto:icarrera@uniovi.es\">icarrera@uniovi.es<\/a>;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"mailto:katkit@enl.auth.gr\">katkit@enl.auth.gr<\/a> ;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"mailto:frederik.vandam@ru.nl\">frederik.vandam@ru.nl<\/a>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">by <strong>28 February 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in <strong>March <\/strong>(online).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EJES takes an interest in topics that investigate the borders and&nbsp; intersections between different research fields in English&nbsp; studies, including, but not limited to, literary analysis, linguistics, critical and cultural theory, and gender and sexuality&nbsp; studies.
