{"id":4028,"date":"2023-11-28T18:57:16","date_gmt":"2023-11-28T16:57:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/essenglish.org\/messenger\/?p=4028"},"modified":"2023-11-28T18:57:16","modified_gmt":"2023-11-28T16:57:16","slug":"ma-thesis-phd-dissertation-on-collaborative-translation-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/essenglish.org\/messenger\/blog\/ma-thesis-phd-dissertation-on-collaborative-translation-award\/","title":{"rendered":"MA Thesis \/ PhD Dissertation on Collaborative Translation Award"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Excellence in Collaborative T&amp;I research<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Deadline for proposals: 30 January 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Winner announcement: Spring 2024<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To promote excellence in Collaborative T&amp;I research, the \u201cInternational Center for Research on Collaborative&nbsp; Translation\u201d (from now on the \u201cCenter\u201d) rewards MA theses and PhD dissertations in English, French and&nbsp; Italian that make a significant professional\/practical or academic contribution to the field of Collaborative&nbsp; Translation.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The call is open to any student from any country.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The winner will receive an honorarium of \u20ac 300 and a \u201cMerit Diploma\u201d. The Awards Ceremony to announce&nbsp; the winner will be celebrated in spring 2024 (the date of the Ceremony will be communicated).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Evaluation&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The \u201cCenter\u201d Steering Committee will appoint the Award Evaluation Committee, which will consist of 2&nbsp; Commissioners in addition to the Center Director. The final decision is made by the Evaluation Committee.&nbsp; All the decisions of the Evaluating Committee are final. The evaluation is based on the writing and research&nbsp; skills, alongside the overall quality of the topic, demonstrated in the thesis\/dissertation.&nbsp; Thesis will be evaluated according to the following criteria:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>degree of innovation in the proposed methodology or technology.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>potential for application in real-world situations.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>potential impact on theory and practice.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>potential impact on a global scale.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deadline for the submission is January 30, 2024. The MA Thesis \/PhD Dissertation must be sent to&nbsp; collaborativetranslation@iulm.it in a single PDF file (maximum file size 50 MB).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Eligibility&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any dissertation\/thesis in the area of collaborative translation\/interpretation and related fields will be eligible&nbsp; for entry. All eligible theses\/dissertations should have been assessed and classified by the university of origin&nbsp; <strong>up to 15 months before the date of submission <\/strong>of the abstract to the jury and never have been a candidate to&nbsp; this same award. The theses\/dissertations, at the time of application, must be accompanied either by a statement&nbsp; from the supervisor of the applicant, jury or other body of the university of origin, indicating the date of&nbsp; completion and\/or assessment.
