The usual term of office is three years. Candidates should preferably have been involved in ESSE affairs. They need to obtain the written support from two national associations. Candidates should submit, as e\u2013mail attachments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a letter of application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a short (2\u20133 page) CV<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>letters of support from two national associations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each national association can also nominate candidates for this position (only one candidate can be nominated by each national association). In this case, national associations will submit, as e\u2013mail attachments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a letter, signed by the Association\u2019s President, describing the candidate\u2019s competence for the specific office<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a short (2\u20133 page) CV of the candidate proposed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a letter, signed by another Association\u2019s President, seconding this proposal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a letter in which the candidate will express his\/her agreement with the candidacy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applications and nominations must be emailed by 30 April 2024 to all three members of the Nominations Committee:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Crispin Thurlow (Chair) (<a href=\"mailto:crispin.thurlow@unibe.ch\">crispin.thurlow@unibe.ch<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kristy Beers F\u00e4gersten (<a href=\"mailto:kristy.beers.fagersten@sh.se\">kristy.beers.fagersten@sh.se<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carlo Bajetta (<a href=\"mailto:c.bajetta@univda.it\">c.bajetta@univda.it<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please use the following wording in the subject line:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>ESSE: Nomination for Editor of the ESSE Messenger<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From the applications and nominations received, the Committee will prepare a shortlist for the ESSE Board.
